As for the statement that many deaths were being marked off as COVID deaths: Yes, we can agree that COVID deaths are not directly responsible for the deaths, but they most certainly contributed to it. There was an elderly man who died from cancer in Atlanta, Georgia, United States, and he had caught COVID a few months back. While COVID wasn't what exactly killed him, there is no dying that COVID-19 accelerated and precipitated the death.
