Metapedia tries to defend Wilhelm Keitel. *Laughs in Keitel having full knowledge of the subsequent Invasion of Poland, not contesting the regime's assault upon basic human rights, not saying anything about the Einsatzgruppen, personally passing the Kommandobefehl (Commando Order), issuing a series of criminal orders which allowed for the execution of Jews and civilians and non-combatants for any reason, him being refered to as a "yes man" by Generalfeldmarschall Ewald von Kleist, followed Hitler even after receiving verbal abuse from the Führer on numerous ocassions, serving as Minister of Defence, refering to Hitler as "the greatest warlord of all time," turned in 7,000 of the conspirators who were believed to have tried to assassinate Hitler during the 20 July Plot (5,000 of which were executed), Keitel signing the Nacht und Nebel (Night and Fog), and him having the opportunity to kill Hitler at any point both during and prior to the war.*
