that's probably the source of the problem, people might not pay much attention to you because they know barely or nothing about who you are, I suggest you slowly talk some more, it doesn't have to be much at first, like telling them about what food or hobbies you like, I wouldn't say go all out start talking a lot since it might make people feel strange by the sudden change, I think it be best to take baby steps first
