Given current supplies, we can expect to run out of food by 15 days. The dogs get trapped in the snow and are useless for anything other than their value when dead, meat. With 5 dogs, we could kill 2 and feed those to ourselves and the remaining dogs, which should last us 2 1/2 days. We can eat the remaining dogs and live for another week, but from then on, logistical issues cannot be solved.
