I am back. As I was saying, the second one (U.S.S. Block Island CVE-106) was built and stationed at Hawaii. After the crew underwent rigorous training, on 17 April 1945, they traveled to the recently captured and incorporated Okinawa. From 26 June/6 July 1945, Block Island took part in the Balikpapan Operation. She then proceeded to Guam, where she was anchored.
