Import. PAM had not been updated for years, and then recently, a few months before you joined, it was updated once more. They added a feature where you could import pixelated images into PAM and upload them to the Gallery. Prior to then, you could only achieve hyperrealistic images through exploiting and another mean that I am not comfortable with sharing.
