How does a dog even benefit a human? Think about it, not a guard dog, not a hunting dog, just a companion dog. There really isn't anything it gives to the human survival wise. The only reason we benefit from having companions like dogs is because of our good/bad system being faulty. Working with humans helps survival > being with other organisms feels good > even if it doesn't help with survival, being with a dog feels good
