That was definitely a factor in Hitler's poor health. Another thing worth noting would be conditions in Austria around the time Hitler was born. See, despite being a First World country, Austria industrialised at a much later date than most European countries (with the exception of Eastern Europe of course), and most of the industry was built in Eastern Austria and Bohemia instead of other parts like Hungary, Rumania, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Lower Austria, et cetera. As a result, disease was rampant in the countryside. Child mortality rates skyrocketed, and up until the early 1910s the mortality rate for children under the age of 5 was FORTY PERCENT. Hitler was born in Braunau am Inn, a tiny town, and his father Alois, Sr. was born in the Strones hamlet of the now-abandoned farming town of Döllersheim. Three of Hitler's siblings died in infancy, and only he and his sister made it to adulthood.
