This not only applies to written texts but anything and everything in general. If the room you were in at the moment suddenly got warmer, you might conclude that it is because someone turned off the air conditioning, but that's you're intepretation of the situation. Even if you had a thermologist explain why it became warmer, it is entirely dependent on how you and the thermologist both intepret the situation and then how you intepret the thermologist's explanation, which can never fully be conveyed.
