Other evicted families were "resettled" in forced labour camps. Death squads were established, and they killed 100,000 of the population in a single year alone. Minorities were crammed into city districts in the Capital that only made up about 5% of the total land area. Food outside of the internment camps is strictly rationed, which leads to mass starvation on a regular basis. Many foods, including veal, pork, onions, and berry products are forbidden to be sold to the people native to the country. Initially, upon the occupation, anyone above the age of 18 were eligible for forced labour, but as time went on, the age was lowered to 14 for regular citizens and 12 for even more-disparaged groups.
