Description: It was Thanksgiving, and Squirrel and Mouse wete harvesting from their Oak tree. Squirrel collected the acorns, and Mouse caught them midair and put them in baskets. When they were done, they had lots of acorns but accidentally left one outside. Seeing the basket, Finch (a very kind bird) flew down and got the basket. Squirrel and Mouse had 5 baskets, but they only saw 4 left. "Who took the other?,"asked Squirrel. "Did you?" "No!," cried Mouse. "I promise it wasn't me!" "Then who?," asked Squirrel. "The Finch!," said Mouse. "The Finch did it! I saw her carry the basket in her beak! She loves acorns and seeds more than anyone in this forest!" "That Finch," growled Squirrel "When I see her I will grab her and pluck all of her feathers! Every single bit of it! Then, I will throw her down. Witout feathers, she will be unable to fly, and she will become food for cats!" Then, Squirrel scurried off to Finch's house. Mouse did not want Squirrel to pluck her feathers and throw her down to become cat food. He knew Finch was a very kind friend and always came every Thanksgiving. When Squirrel reached Finch's house, he knocked on the door. When Finch awnsered, she said,"Happy Thanksgiving!" In one wing she held the fifth basket! Squirrel snatched the basket away from Finch. "I'm turning you into cat food!," said Squirrel. Finch was terrified! Just when Squirrel was about to grab her. Mouse scurried over and he said, "No Squirel! Do not turn Finch into cat food. Finch is a kind friend. Could we share the basket?" "Of course!," said Squirrel They had a happy Thanksgiving feast.
