I just came up with a species: Harbinoid / "Skeletus Reapus" an early humanoid creature that first appears to be a cloak, but when the cloak is removed, you have a skeleton less, muscle less, skin less brain, floating in the air with its tendrils and eyes, if you see under its cloak, you will start to deteriorate into one of them, though it seems non harmful, when talked to in a non-ethical way (slang) it seeks to educate you by force, and if you don't comprehend, it resorts to torture. But don't worry, it loves cloaks, and if mostly hides from others.
