anyways, Crystamanthequins (also from Homestuck) sounds like the same depths i was talking about, where instead of fighting your fellow powerful people, you now team up with them as the hundreds of millions of sea creatures (not all of them but they start to appear periodically, more and more in group size) start to rush you down in hopes of not only keeping themselves safe, but also hoping that the crazy cult of rebels don't open that godforsaken unholy "treasure" some of your allies get knocked down because their powers ar emost likely not suitable inside of water, and as you carry them on your back (you're not the only one doing this), the creatures (as i said) start to rush you in more groups, a bunch of sharks, anglerfish, octopi, whatever the fuck. then you realize, "wait, maybe we should stop and help them!" you make a very quick change of plan, and ask your friends to spare them because you realized which group was a much bigger threat.
