People might not have had a great opinion of you then because of your political views, them seeing you as "politicising" a non-political website, the threats or alludations to murder, and the opinions you expressed regarding furries or homosexuality. In my opinion, you've changed from that. You've had half a year to do so. Overall you seem like a decent human being.
