So the Spectator mode is a mode in minecraft which basically kinda works like creative mode except the only ability you get from it is flying around so you just kinda spectate what is going on, what it originated from in PAM seems to be from Error 404 since he would usually come here with popcorn saying he's in spectate mode which obviously would be a lie since it seems now you are unable to hurt people but not get hurt yourself but back then he was able to do anything in spectate mode without any consequences. So you could say that the spectator mode was nerfed, After a while tho people just started using it any time they wanted and it kinda worked as a way to not be involved in a battle without having to say something making you OP and people unable to fight you.
