Here is a fun fact to finish my day: Ernst Röhm (the head of the Sturmabteilung until his death in 1934 during the Night of Long Knives) was, oddly enough, homosexual, yet Hitler waited until 1934 to "dispose" of him i.e. have him imprisoned before Röhm faced firing squad.
