One of the key ways to hit a reader right in the feels when writing a story, I`ve learned....Is to put things in there that are on some level relate-able. Such as bullying. And then make it worse, so you can sympathize. It makes the story have more flavor if it`s tragic. Especially if you love the character so much, and want them to be happy. -BD

Description: WonderTale Boarder`s backstory: Suicide. His mother died having Boarder`s brother, Ace, and Ace died a few minutes after. A year later, his father went insane from the loss and ended up becoming a killer, and was killed by the police. Dad died when Boarder was only 4. Next year, he stepped into Kindergarten. Ruthlessly bullied due to the fact he was the only skeleton, and had different colored eyes. Bullying got worse as years went on, going from pushes and shoves to getting pushed down stairs, locked in his locker for entire days, ripping all of his homework, and getting ambushed after school. At one point they put a cobra in his locker with him. Even dumped a bucket of animal blood on him, from a butcher`s shop. He`d had a crush on his main tormentor since Kindergarten, and one day they stopped and asked Boarder out......But it was a trap. They had pictures of Boarder, and it turned into an abusive relationship. It sucked, but Boarder couldn't bring himself to leave. It started in his freshman year, and in his junior year, and Nick (his tormentor), just got worse, and worse, and worse. Every time he'd disobey Nick, Nick would threaten to send the pictures to the entire school. After so long of this, Boarder had just lost all hope, he had no sparkle in his eyes, and they were just dull and grey. One day, Nick told him to go join his family. To kill himself. And right on the spot...Boarder said "Okay." and pulled out a gun and shot himself.
