If some "8-Bit style game with turn based battles" was copied from Undertale, than basically the original Final Fantasies are copies of whatever might have come before, and games after them are just copies or those..... It's called: "GAME GENRE" FOR A REASON PEOPLE... The ideas are very limited if everything just gets fucking copyrighted and whatnot..... After all the internet with ballistic over the "Fine bros", trying to trademark the word "React", god damn it.....
