Losing her is the reason that William is so protective over Vincent, despite the fact that Vincent's pretty much in his 20's.

90896a Well, this may sound like something out of the more cliche side of the fandom. But Kayla's story has William Afton as her stepfather, after he marries her mother for reasons I've not decided on yet. William also has a son, Vincent Afton (pays tribute to what the fandom used to call Purple Guy.) who becomes Kayla's stepbrother at that point. She knows they're both killers but ends up accepting them as family anyway.
