(after chris finshed T, he notices that xavier saw all of it. ans xavier knows what's going on. therefore, he fights chris in an effort to stop this. however, xavier doesn't want to kill him. so he doesn't use ALL of his power against him. but that becomes a mistake, and chris finishes xavier. but chris doesn't notice a 1-up. (if there IS one.) and he realizes xavier is still alive. he comes back by determination. and xavier realizes chris is dangerous in his current state. so he is no longer holding back. making the second fight begin.) JEEZ that's long.
