Heck, before you even GET to the sanctuary, you have to do a boss rush with THREE BOSSES ON THE SAME HEARTS.

Go back to the top of the library and you'll see the Judge pacing and meowing, crying out for his brother Valerie. Valerie was killed by Japhet, the guardian you just purified. (And Zacharie does not fucking help by wearing his face as a mask later on!) (Also, I'm aware the chances of anyone understanding are low.)
