3e82f5 That is a fair point. We shouldn`t try to dehumanize certain individuals for what they did, but rather understand why they did it so we can prevent it from happening again. If, for instance, Hitler had a better parent than Alois Hitler Sr., then maybe the Second World War and Holocaust wouldn`t have happened. And with that in mind, we should probably educate the masses on proper parenting. I completely agree with you on that note.

c91422 Most people try to de-humanize hitler, and for some reason I don't... I try to understand what happened to him as a kid, and who he is.. I think I should de-humanize him but I can't make myself do it. I feel bad for him a little. Even when I know I would be killed if I was born if he ruled because I was born disabled, then later on in life, recived brain damage and a list of disabilities... and I know I would be killed for having them. The turning point of the Eastern Front was on 2 February 1942 after Stalingrad, and the Western Allies only landed in Sicily and Normandy the following years. As for the lend-lease, well, it only made up about 8% of the Red Army`s total war materiel.

3e82f5 Well, saying Stalin threw citizens into the war is pretty hypocritical when you consider Nazi Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States, France, etc. all had drafts too. In fact, deserting the German Wehrmacht warranted the death penalty. And Albert Einstein, a Jewish German actually fled to the United States and was a major scientist in the Manhattan Project (the creation of the atomic bomb), but you are correct. Germans do have a history of being extremely smart. The sewing machine was invented in Austria, the automobile was invented in Germany, and they sure did revolutionize warfare.
