Basically instead of a deal, Sans actually went delusional over time, believing Chara/Frisk to be the god above all and literally becomes an "exorcist", killing everyone, believing everyone else to be a demon and that he, his brother and Frisk/Chara are the only ones left in this forsaken world. He literally crucifies Papyrus lol.
