No leader is perfect doesn’t give excuse for what he’s done. Under Trump, while the stock market performed well for a short period, that quickly dropped to levels never seen before, wealth inequality grew, environmental protections were rolled back, and national debt ballooned even before the pandemic hit. A booming stock market isn’t the same as a strong economy for everyday Americans, and many working-class people saw little of those so-called gains. Leadership should be measured not just by economic numbers, but by how policies affect the most vulnerable.
