ok so it has now come to my attention that literally anything slim and long that can be thrown at high speeds with just the human arm alone are called boomerangs. this goes for anything that is sharp. no throwing knives don't count because they aren't long and nor do tomahawks because the blade part is specifically the axe head and not almost the entire thing
