It's because Nintendo doesn't really care about them anymore. Like, with the Wii, that was the whole point. You used the Wii-mote, and it would act like a little dongle that would respond to what was going on in the game with your motions, almost every game had it. The Wii U still had a lot of motion controls, but due to the Gamepad, it just... fell flat halfway through the Wii U's lifespan, and nobody cared at all about it. The Switch was basically a death sentence for motion controls. It still has them, and the launch title tried to tell everyone that it still had them, but that game seriously sucked, and no other game used them very much. We got Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and that game had motion controls turned off by default. If not, there's a huge button in the menu screen to turn them off. Nintendo Switch Sports was kinda short-lived thanks to Nintendo trying to kill off the Miis...
