There are so many things wrong with this. 1) That isn't the same door. The Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial Foundation (which administers the place nowadays) repaired much of the damage that the site received during the war, which included replacing the original door. 2) Wooden doors can be gastight. This one was, as confirmed by the Bischoff letter.
