(basically here's how i envision this: the middle landmass already has an empire/kingdom/government present on it, but none of the players control it. the players can choose to venture to one of the red landmasses (thus turning it green because it's now discovered) and they can start their own civilization, and just do whatever. OR a player may choose to try and somehow gain control of the middle civilization)
