I also wouldn't call that attempt a failure at all, just because you need to fix some things in your view, doesn't make it a failure at all. No art piece is cleared of being a one and done sorta thing, every artists redos a part of an artwork all the time. You don't have to discard something just because one thing didn't come out how you wanted it to. What I'm trying to say is that you're perfectly okay to remake something, especially if it doesn't look the best to you, but don't let little things about an art piece discourage you on simply fixing the drawing and making it better with little edits here and there.
