Try to keep your composure, think to yourself that you are doing this for your friend, your school counselor should recognize that this is serious and if you do end up freaking out, this could show them how serious is actually is. Try to take deep breathes however, think of stuff that calms you down. Do what makes you calm then you can go to the counselor.
