My favorite song... The Last Hero, such an amazing song. I live for it's frantic energy and it's desperate, despaired filled tone; i love when i song can tell me a story over it's runtime and I feel The Last Hero does that perfectly ESPECIALLY in context of the album- it's essentially a truth bomb that the future will ever be uncertain, never bright. It's a call for someone, anyone to rise- it does this with a wonderful unforgettable chorus with a brilliant (oddly triumphant kinda???) melody- it also has a fantastic pair of guitar solos one of which turns into one of most spectacular breakdowns ive ever heard- its so wonder its such an amazing song
