You have to change the amount of molecules on both sides (for instance the 4 in 4H2O) until it makes sense. For instance of the equation is H + O = H2O, that’s not balanced because theres 1 Hydrogen on the left but 2 Hydrogens on the right, so you would do this to balance it: 2H + O = H2O
