another theory is one i find rather amusing but still interesting: the universe could be the shape of a donut. basically, if you were to fly across the Y axis you would find yourself back in your orignal spot much faster than someone who flew in the X axis. wormholes are also possible if the universe is a donut i think i dont actually remember
