It's not scarring, it's a real, raw wound. I need to figure out more on how this "mass" stuff works (BOO BOO BO) yeah yeah ik. I can't really explain it cuz I've never really vocalized it before. Every time Axel gets hurt, his body tries to regenerate it, but in order to regen, he needs to get that flesh from somewhere else on his body. It's like the alchemist's rule of equivalent exchange. For really small wound like minor cuts and burns, he tells his body to not recover that, as it will be a waste of mass. Axel's chest wound is so big, he doesn't have the mass to recover it, keeping it in a loop of recovery and destruction. Make sense?
