b96dec Take this final boss design for Luna as an example. This has a lot of details that make it look really awesome and adds to the climax of the whole game. But putting it into overworld sprite form? Every detail would make it hard to see.

b96dec Probably the biggest thing to learn about overworld spriting is losing some details. Having it be overly excessive with details can make the sprite a mess and overall be hard to understand what's going on.

b96dec Probably the long tail. Could probably remove it, since it's a bit pointless. Originally it was supposed to be an NPC design, having arms fully out.
