9ce148 *these spikes are not black spikes, they are bloodstained bone spikes with shattered sharp ends*

9ce148 *suddenly, a few fiery circles appear around the creature in the shadows. these circles are more golden fire than reddish-orange fire. after a second, spikes shoot out from the circles: one aiming for its head, and the other two for its body, and an arm. the clone appears to have assimilated that attack upon being hit by it*

35dc76 *It stares back, completely still.*

9ce148 *still shaking fairly violently, it analyzes the spike for .. roughly 15 to 20 seconds, and then it snaps its gaze directly towards wherever this creature is hiding*

9ce148 *as the clone removes the spikes from itself, the wounds quickly regenerate. although curiously, it holds onto one of the spikes that it broke off*

35dc76 *The beast watches from the shadows*

9ce148 *it then starts violently shaking and twitching. the clone grabs the spikes and then physically breaks them off, totally ignoring the fire*

9ce148 *as the clone gets skewered from three different angles, it seems to "activate", as its eyesockets glow bright gold and cast golden light rays, similar to spotlights. just like how Exodius did that one time*

35dc76 *Each of them aiming directly for the flesh clones torso*

35dc76 *A few small circles of fire flair up next to the Exodius clone, and suddenly, after a second, black spikes appear out of the ground from the spots of fire, the spikes themselves being engulfed in fire.*

9ce148 *this flesh clone is definitely less intelligent than the actual Exodius, because not long after being placed down, it starts wandering around seemingly randomly. but it manages to stay in that clearing area*

35dc76 *Puffs of fire appear from the beasts face is it runs, despite the current lack of a mouth or nose. It soon reaches where Exodius was before and stops, hidden in the trees. it sees the clone and just stares for a few seconds while moving through the shadows*

9ce148 *Exodius then dissolves away, and a flesh replicant (non-shadow clone) of him is placed on the ground facing toward one of the rocks*

9ce148 " . . . " "(*𝗛𝗮𝗵𝗮, 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹, 𝗜'𝗹𝗹 𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘁, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻.)"

9ce148 *Exodius slowly spins around and faces towards the direction the hostile presence is approaching him from* "(*𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗜 𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗻'𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴.)" *he turns to the floating black crucified humanoid,* "(*𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗲𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗲, 𝗩?)" *the humanoid still does not respond, or even move*

35dc76 *It slows down slightly at the sound of the clock, but quickly speeds back up, and it's already covered over half the distance*

9ce148 *the creature hunting Exodius suddenly hears an ominous clock ticking sound coming from everywhere at once. simultaneously elsewhere, Scott 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘱𝘴 hearing the ticking* "(*oh my god, finally)"

35dc76 *It sits there on it's knees, hands to the ground. then it's head suddenly snaps to it's left* "*i fooound youuu...!" *It mutters to itself, it's voice sounding distorted yet calm, it then quickly stands up and starts running directly to where Exodius is, a long distance, but he will get there eventually.*

35dc76 *After a short bit of just standing there, the beast crouches to the ground and starts focusing.*

9ce148 "(*𝗜 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘀 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻. 𝗗𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱.)" *the humanoid says nothing, it doesn't even move*

9ce148 *in front of Exodius floating higher than him is a black humanoid figure with long arms, long legs, long claws, and its head hanging like its dead. its body is posed in such a way that it looks like it was crucified*

35dc76 *After a while, the beast stops running and just stands in the middle of the forest*

9ce148 (*frankly annoyed by the fact his game was interrupted, Exodius is in another forest clearing (one that doesn't have a cabin, but the ground does have a few embedded boulders sticking out of it) brooding about various things like an edgelord*

35dc76 *Meanwhile, elsewhere far in the forest, the beast is running, weaving inbetween trees and looking for any sign of Exodius.*

9ce148 *during this journey (however long it takes), Scott does have a couple run-ins with the blind ashen creature, as well as the white eyeless staring one, but he does respond accordingly and avoids getting harmed by either*

9ce148 *now with clear-cut instructions on where to go, Scott wastes no time and starts off in that direction. that ominous clock ticking is still there*

35dc76 *Scott appears to just vanish as soon as their hands make full contact. now, back at where he was last standing in the forest, Scott feels urged to go in a specific direction, the figure seems to have told him where to go without a word.*

9ce148 *Exodius then spontaneously explodes into smoke. another shadow duplicate, it seems*

9ce148 *also ignoring Exodius, Scott reaches out with his left hand and takes the figures hand*

35dc76 *The figure ignores Exodius and walks towards Scott, holding one of it's hands out* "...Allow me to grant you freedom, from a punishment not destined for you."

9ce148 *all the flowers in the immediate area instantly wither and die as Exodius appears like 5 feet behind Scott, and he looks .. kinda pissed, actually* "(*𝗪𝗘 𝗪𝗘𝗥𝗘 𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗜𝗗𝗗𝗟𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗦𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚.)"

35dc76 *It stands there looking at Scott, tilting it's head and speaking after a few seconds of silence* "You are lost, my ally. You should not be he-" *it gets interrupted by Exodius and goes silent for a second*

9ce148 *as he starts to reach for them, there's suddenly a loud, very irritated/frustrated roar* "(*𝗪𝗛𝗬 𝗖𝗔𝗡'𝗧 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗟𝗘𝗧 𝗠𝗘 𝗛𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝗙𝗨𝗡 𝗪𝗛𝗜𝗟𝗘 𝗜'𝗠 𝗜𝗡 𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘???? 𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗣 𝗠𝗘𝗗𝗗𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗚ⵑⵑⵑ)"
