d3c520 (( The crystal is a genetic variation of, you guessed it, the Flesh. Although it is a genetic variant, it's not hostile, doesn't require food nor water, and is more of a regenerating pet. Destroying the crystal causes its atoms to fly EVERYWHERE, meaning even a smallest atom has reached that vent and is spreading at that moment. Now, you may say it was destroyed, but why would it? It isn't going to cause damage nor do anything, meaning destroying it would be pointless. So, technically it would be put into a research bay, not destroyed, but left alone to be researched. Simple? ))
