fdcfdc vessels are hollow, well, vessels, meant to host a soul and be controlled, however if a soul is forced into a vessel that is already in use it will probably either lead to the stronger soul taking over control(like the kris situation), or the soul being absorbed and them fusing or smth. your "learning to talk" question is a little confusing, if the soul is from a higher plane(like us playing deltarune) then they probably dont need to "learn to talk", but if its a new soul (like someone just being born i guess) then they would need to learn to talk, yes. pepper said that john guy needs to learn to talk because he was just a memory'less clone of john, bro dont know how to speak yet (this explination is prolly ass and all over the place cause im tired )
