98cc08 they also get jumped many times along the way because of how close they resemble sonic tails and knuckles

98cc08 he convinces his two closest friends that he actually is himself and not sonic, and they go on a long journey to find the chaos emeralds to break the curse, the mobian also only having a fraction of sonics speed

6b8263 but then like almost every other adaptation of sonic gives him an origin story of some kind, i just prefer him being a thing that already exists rather than a guy given superpowers through some accident or whatever

"oh heck yeah!!" the mobian says, moments before having his identity of self ripped away as his physical form is replaced with that of an almost exact replica of sonics form, leaving all his loved ones to not recognize him as the mobian they once loved
