Then, he can come back to that displacement and time and travel through any possibilities that may seem helpful, then he can switch the conditions of that displacement to his present self, retaining any powerup, item, or person from that displacement. These possibilities are NOT REAL, they're a simulated event that is produced by reality when interacting with the concept of multiple timelines (as multiple timelines do exist in the lore)
