d8d8fa Also, when rolling for attacks, you always have to roll a d20 first, which determines how good your attack was, and if it does anything or not. This roll has to be atleast equal to or higher than the AC of an enemey to have any affect. With all that being said, i think you can figure out the rest through the legend i've provided

d8d8fa it also sometimes controlled the minimum value, like 1d20 has a minimum value of one, because you can roll a one on a d20, however if you roll 2d10, then you roll two d10's, and that has a combined minimum value of 2

d8d8fa Ok so basically when you see. Some shit like 3d12, that means 3 twelve-sided die are rolled. It goes by [number of dice]d[how many sides that type of die has]
