5fe735 The same is true for the admission (or lack thereof) of Jewish refugees from Europe. It's well-known that Cuba and the United States only allowed 28 passengers to disembark from the MSS St. Louis, but what is rarely mentioned is that Canada, under Mackenzie King (an anti-Semite and admirer of Adolf Hitler) also refused to allow the passengers to disembark in Canada.
5fe735 It's funny how a lot of people criticise the United States for internment camps during World War II (it's still a valid criticism, don't get me wrong) but they simultaneously overlook the fact that the British, their colonies, their territories, and their crown dependencies did the exact same thing. For instance, the Hay Internment and POW camps in New South Wales, Australia, which held thousands of refugees from Nazi Germany and the Kingdom of Austria, most of whom were Jewish.
You can leave feedback about PAM here, but please note that I don't have a lot of time to work on PAM at the moment. There are lots of other tools out there (see here for examples) in case you need a tool with more features. Thank you for your understanding!
