ff21a2 If you think that removing art as a job removes art overall your reason for making art is obsolete. What "soul" is there in art if the reason you're making it is to make money. People make art without getting money for it, the human need for expression far exceeds the human desire for money.

ff21a2 the main reason people hate ai art is because they're scared its going to take their job, be honest. It's not some "it steals art" or "it doesn't have the human soul in it!" you're scared that if ai art advances further, art as a job becomes obsolete, so you're against it.

ff21a2 You can be an artist and be a doctor, or a farmer, or a lawn care specialist. it doesn't matter what you do for money as long as it's something that genuinely makes a contribution to society. and don't give me the "people need entertainment" bullshit, we don't need movies or tv shows or comic books. Now if you're going to go and say "architecture is art, surgery is art!" then you can go and call ai art too because of its intricate and beautiful nature in the mathematics and engineering required to develop a neural network capable of producing such quality images.

ff21a2 i don't think art should be payed for in the first place. it doesn't contribute anything materially worthy to society, its purpose is self expression. we pour millions into the entertainment industry and get literally nothing out of it. it's an economic waste. if people want to make art, they can. but they shouldn't expect a job out of it.
