1e219b Lol, anchient Mayans actually drilled holes into their teeth to glue gems like jade or pyrite into the holes using plant based adhesives for social status and fashion.

1e219b Talc is a really big molecule so it usually struggles to maintain a crystalline form, but it doesn’t form a cubic structure, it forms a tri octahedral structure.
fbf0df ok so we just find a way to fuck with diamond structures and make a perfectly cubic diamond hammer to beat the shit out of people with. i mean that would be literally impossible but what i
1e219b Tooth fillings are usually made of gold due to the fact that gold can amalgamate with other metals like mercury, silver, and zinc simply by touching, turning into a liquid form, in which dentists can mold the plasticky amalgam into a hole in your tooth, then literally squeeze it till the metal that isn’t gold comes out and the gold is left solid in place.
09ac51 I like Zanius's hair, very cool. Also wouldnt a cubic structure also make talc somewhat better?
90dac8 i was a bit skeptical on the design at first
050127 also interesting
050127 Looks amazing rabbit you cooked
90dac8 Zanius
1e219b The hardest known material is pure diamond, the reason diamonds can still shatter is because their crystal structures are almost allways very faulty, if a diamonds entire structure was perfectly cubic, basically nothing would be able to break it. The second hardest material is cubic boron nitride. Both diamond and cBN are used in manufacturing for extremely tough drill bits and so on.
050127 im all ears

1e219b Tympani refers to the latin word for drum, tensor means to tense, since the muscles purpose is to tense your eardrum drum, thats why its named that way. Im sure the tympani drum was named first.
09ac51 Did they name the instrument or the ear part first?

09ac51 I FIGURED OUT HOW TO DO REALISM YESSS also also that belly button one was actually kind surprising i wonder if mine is still there
1e219b There is a muscle in your ear called the tensor tympani which runs through a tube from your outer to your inner ear. Its purpose is to quickly tense your eardrum to stop it from vibrating whenever theres a loud sound, to protect it from getting damaged. Some people can force it to tense on command, causing sounds to appear muffled for a bit. The tube that the tensor tympani resides in can get infected/full of water, which causes a condition known as swimmers ear.
3786fc WE ARE SO FUCKING BACK
1e219b The gallbladder is an extremely green organ, due to containing and producing bile. It looks like a wet unripe mango.
1e219b When you’re in your mothers womb, theres a tube that goes from your liver to your belly button, and from your bladder to your belly button, so that your body can recieve nutrients from your mothers umbilical cord to your liver, and release waste from your bladder to your mothers umbilical cord. When you’re born and as you grow up, that tube shrinks and dies, becoming a tendon, but some people still have theirs open, and urine and blood will sometimes come out of their belly button.
fbf0df prime knowledge
050127 *understanding*
1e219b There are specific nerves embedded in the walls of arteries and your stomach lining called baroceptors. Whenever your artery walls aren’t stretching as much as they need to, the nerves detect the shrinkage and tell your brain that you have too little water in your blood stream, and your brain releases vasopressin, which is the hormone that makes you thirsty. Baroceptors in your stomach lining will detect when your stomach is small and send signals to your brain, which will release a hormone called ghrelin, which makes you hungry.
fbf0df woa h
050127 woah interesting
1e219b There is a bone above your voice box that allows for support for your entire esophageal function, suspending your esophaphagus via tendons from your jaw and skull bones. It’s called the hyoid, it looks like a smaller jaw. If you tilt your head up and feel above your voice box you should be able to feel a harder half circle object. Don’t squeeze too hard though.
