236914 its all been leading up to this- track 12, Fortress. At 7 minutes 37 seconds it is the 4th longest alter bridge song (behind Blackbird 7:59, Fable of the Silent Son 8:22 and Slave to Master 9:06.) It is the peak of Alter Bridge prog. truly a special song. ill never forget the gloomy night i listened to it for the first time- what a memory. So much emotion in this track its beautiful, a true masterpiece and great way to finish off a perfect album

236914 track 11 All Ends Well my favorite of the album besides Cry of Achilles and maybe Lover- beautiful ballad type great choice of penultimate track and one of the strongest Alter Bridge choruses of all time

236914 Waters Rising, while being a critic favorite, is only my 3rd favorite of these songs. Forever Falling and Tested and Able are superior in my opinion. That being said, this song is another masterpiece. Mark is GREAT at singing which is why its cool he's got his own band where he sings.

236914 track 8 Waters Rising: such a killer- my glorious mustached king Mark Tremonti takes over vocals for his track which is super cool. They had mark sing on a duet with Myles (the singer) called Words Darker Than Their Wings (live version of that song is perfection) but this is his first lead vocal role. He would talke leads on Forever Falling (2019) and Stay (2022) before returning to duets in Tested and Able and Trust in Me (2026) all of which great tracks...

So I am going to do an entire black hole as a head, and then as I progress to the body, I will make limbs and such whilst having the body have stars, galaxies, and more inside of it. thats the plan, anyways. just a lil save in case I lose connection and a progress check.

236914 track 7 Calm the Fire- so peak objectively one of their most impressive but even besides that it's a great prog track about racism- odd choice considering how far it strays from the rest of the tracks but it still fits the vauge idea/mood Fortress has

236914 track 6 Peace is Broken- i fucking hate that dumbass name. the guys said it was originally Pieces Broken which is so much better. great song regardless, though prolly my least fav of the record

8426a8 you should totally make the bottom jaw his neck and top half his entire head so when he talks it looks like his head is falling off
