236914 the track is the band's most sonically dense and diverse track to date- the only one to have intro verse, verse, pre chorus, chorus, bridge, reprise and outro- this makes the song feel like a journey in music, especially when you take into account how diverse these parts are and how the song rushes to them

236914 the song in question is The Last Hero (2016) by alter bridge- these guys are my favorite band... this track is nearly 7 minutes long and doesnt waste any of it- its somewhat overwhelming but also part of the magic of the track

236914 except thats not the end because theres a rare bonus track called Never Say Die/Outright- i love this track so much, it's my second favorite Alter Bridge B-Side behind only The Damage Done from 2007. super uplifting

236914 its all been leading up to this- track 12, Fortress. At 7 minutes 37 seconds it is the 4th longest alter bridge song (behind Blackbird 7:59, Fable of the Silent Son 8:22 and Slave to Master 9:06.) It is the peak of Alter Bridge prog. truly a special song. ill never forget the gloomy night i listened to it for the first time- what a memory. So much emotion in this track its beautiful, a true masterpiece and great way to finish off a perfect album

236914 track 11 All Ends Well my favorite of the album besides Cry of Achilles and maybe Lover- beautiful ballad type great choice of penultimate track and one of the strongest Alter Bridge choruses of all time
