236914 the shade is largely a looming threat, acting with zombie stanley as his primary vessel, and manipulated him into thinking his chance of becoming the chosen one is still alive which is why stanley blindly serves the shade now

236914 val also worked at the diner mulligan frequents so they knew each other even without matt- though it's because of him val is mulligans student, replacing stanley (with raymond)

236914 now i gotta explain matt for val's end of the story- Matt worked for big goverment- they had some goals he disagreed with heavy so he left them behind. the goverment guys are also the reason raymond survived when stanley shot him... Matt made friends with mulligan and val because of his mission to keep oddball characters (mulligan, bloob and himself) alive and well- this is why he pops up on val all the time

236914 in my return from mute rp stanley found out mulligan lived here and tried to make amends with him. mulligan refused, they got into it, and this time mulligan killed stanley by dumping acid on his face-

236914 stanley and mulligan then fell out obviously, in which mulligan decided to not kill stanley (this was 2 years before the main events) and after that mulligan moved to pam city.

236914 raymond and stanley were student- raymond was good student, stanley sucked. HOWEVER kura incorrectly thought stanley would be the one which essentially drove stanley mad which lead him to killing raymond (raymond did not die)

236914 --the mulligan stuff... before kura was kura she was mulligan's trainer named "tom macguster" who is not drawn. tom taught mulligan but then died and was reborn as kura bc shes always living the loop like i explained earlier. anyway her body is weak now so basically she needs a strong person to help her out. as mulligan got older he decided he'd do what tom did for him and teach people his way, hence him teaching stanley and raymond
