236914 Track 11- What Are You Waiting For: too underrated. Way too much hate for this track. love it. not quite top 5 but still very good. the pre choruses kinda carry but the choruses themselves are cool and have a unique structure. i REALLY like the line "so if youre waging war i choose to disengage" very relatable for me. also it's 5 minutes long and the penultimate so i must compare it Island of Fools which is like a lot better but still. the length, the position, penis... yeah great track solid bridge solo wait there isnt a solo on this one nevermind
236914 Track 10- Playing Aces: Second best single. Has a very interesting riff that i've seen described as "one that shouldnt work but does anyway" which i cant but agree with. GREAT chorus. great lyrics too, usually gambling analogy for what seems simple but they also carry deeper meaning which is neat. the obligatory bridge into solo is exceptional as well. i like this solo because it's not long. it's lets the song flow into it's final chorus well. great track all around.
236914 Track 9- Scales Are Falling: the final single and second longest of the album only behind Slave to Master's mammoth 9 minute run time- Scales Are Falling is a very solid Alter Bridge sub-6 song with an amazing bit in the middle. everything around the first guitar solo including the solo, the part before and the part after is beautiful. the second solo is not as good. The intro to the song is great too including the opening verse and how leads into the chorus "scaaaaaales are faaaaalllingg fatherrrr....". an interesting thing about this album is how many of the songs hinge around "relationship gone south" ideas like betrayal and abuse and powering through said abuse. this album's running theme i guess.
236914 Track 8- Hang by a Thread: cute little ballad. like how it starts and even though it falls off afterwards it's still a solid track regardless. i literally do not have like anything to say... i like the opening lines "there's nothing left, i'm giving in- i cant win" and how they pair with the lyrics down the road "though i hang by a thread, you'll never keep a good man down" showing some character in the song's somewhat unique structure. some say it's just a weaker version of their 2007 hit Watch Over You but i disagree, it stands on it's own pretty well. Wonderful Life is much better than both of these songs. All Ends Well is LEAGUES better than all the previously mentioned and is by far the best ballad the band has made (technically it's a power ballad but same diff)
8defd6 oooooh
236914 This is Alter Bridge's self titled album they released last month
236914 Track 7- What Lies Within: the best single in my opinion, What Lies Within, Power Down, Rue the Day and Slave to Master are the 4 revolving tracks that i cant decide which one isnt top 3. Anyway What Lies Within is quite an evil track which enjoy a lot. the chorus being particularly sinister feeling thanks to it's backing instrumentals. GREAT solo for this track and the outro for it PERFECTLY highlights the talents of drummer Scott Phillips and bassist Brian Marshall. While were here shoutout these two who got to shine WAYYY more than they usually do in Alter Bridge's records. Anywho BACK to What Lies Within again great pre chorus and the bridge is also great really no complaints for the track at all. it was favorite day one but it's slipped due to the previously mentioned three. still up there though.
236914 Track 6- Tested and Able: THIS is the better duet and barely misses top 3 on the album due to Slave to Master and What Lies Within. the riff is AMAZING but sadly is only used to start and bookend the track. it works though and throughs you into Marks vocals like "huh wait this aint what i thought it was gonna be"... that heavy riff leading to such a soft and pretty song was an odd and great idea. Myle's chorus is top 3 of the album no dispute. Bridge is alright keeps the song moving etc into a good solo. We're here for the riff mostly but the song itself is a great uplifter. ooooh, i saw what ya did you were tested and you were able...
8defd6 bloobs what album is ts, is it >man of many faces ???
236914 Track 5- Disregarded: Short and sweet kickass rock track that i dont have any crazy opinion on. Chorus is fun though typical Alter Bridge affair (minus the little "no way!" at the end of the first one which i like) and i like the verses loads. The bridge much like the song itself is short and sweet before jumping into the guitar solo. before the bridge it's got a pretty nice omninous little transition bit. good track all around, better then Trust In Me but weaker than everything else.
8defd6 what's that little 3 dot guy ur repping as btw flux, is it like an oc or somethins i dont recognize
236914 Track 4- Trust In Me: ANOTHER top 3 im just kidding. Good song though! this song and one other are both duets, featuring Myles Kennedy (usual singer) joined by the band's guitarist Mark Tremonti which is cool because Mark can sing very well. The verses are very good but i'm still not sure about the riff. Mark takes the chorus this time around and it's good. not as good as Rue the Day or Power Down but it keeps the song moving and that's all you could really ask for. The bridge is great! really good and uplifting and is repeated to end the song, one of the few without a guitar solo on this album... Ultimately the song is much more "ups and downs" than the last three which were pretty much all ups. The other duet is considerably better but thats not to say this one isnt worth listening!

236914 Track 3- Power Down: Another top 3 song from the album. Very fast with a great riff and super strong duo of guitar solos as well. Maybe the best chorus of the album?? very fun one and the chorus one ender is great, shame that's the only time it's used in the song. Another great pre chorus as well. not AS good as Rue the Day's pres but still good stuff. great and uplifting bridge leading into first solo then one last chorus before the second one which is pretty interesting becasue usually when Alter Bridge do a double solo thing the song is near or well over 6 minutes and beyond (EXs: The Last Hero, Cry of Achilles, This Side of Fate and Dying Light.) and odd little outlier song but it did it super well.
236914 *Track 2
236914 Track 1- Rue the Day: Proved organically successful, outperforming even the singles atm except Silent Divide- remeniscent of Dead Among the Living from their previous effort but much better than that song. this is EASILY top 3 of this album in my opinion. the prechorus parts "they'll just watch you twist and turn, laughing all the way" and "don't fall prey and dont give in" make the song imo but the rest is VERY good as well. super strong track that deserves it's organic success. Alter Bridge should capitalize on this success and release it as a post-album single.
8defd6 ima start replying slower btdubs i need to get back to workkkkk
236914 Track 1- Silent Divide: Much better than i remembered. very old school bad ass riff and fun singalong chorus- does a great job introducing to the album even if i still think What Lies Within would've been better in slot 1. Great choice for lead single since it proved BY FAR Alter Bridge's most successful in since like Addicted to Pain i reckon this track will out perform Silver Tongue which was the lead single of their last album which performed pretty well
You can leave feedback about PAM here, but please note that I don't have a lot of time to work on PAM at the moment. There are lots of other tools out there (see here for examples) in case you need a tool with more features. Thank you for your understanding!
