2861fd i mean. ig. i remember when my mother would consistently bring up her ungodly childhood in Nigeria where she had like basically no one to take care of her and she couldn't access basic things for like, selfcare and whatever, and i think that turned into continuously pressuring me to take care of myself. that's good but at some point whenever she pressures me i try to make it clear that i don't want to hear it and then she keeps driving me into panic attacks, i think, instead of simply letting up and understanding, and i think that upbringing is what makes her super insistent that i care. and 7 out of 10 times she will mention that kids around me will think i am homeless or have no parents at all which leads back to her upbringing
