Nationalism and resistance: Imperialism sparked nationalist movements and resistance in colonized countries, as people fought for independence, self-determination, and cultural preservation. Racial and ethnic hierarchies: Imperialism reinforced racial and ethnic hierarchies, perpetuating discrimination, segregation, and racism. Demographic changes: Imperialism led to significant demographic changes, including population displacement, migration, and the spread of diseases. Overall, the effects of imperialism during this period were profound and lasting, shaping global politics, economies, cultures, and societies in enduring ways.
72dd23 What was the relative significance of the effects of imperialism from 1750 to 1900? 44dd83 Yeah he just sorta skedaddled
1530ec [Jenismo] [where did Hermann go again? did he just leave Pam without a trace or did he say his goodbyes?]
44dd83 I guess im filling in for Hermann, but instead of history im doing science
1530ec [Waluigi] [Ima put this away for now]

44dd83 Imagine being so lazy that you dont even need a crucial aspect of your body to live
c27fc6 I love receiving information and storing it in my memory
72dd23 That's cool.
44dd83 They just, don't. Icefish are extremely innactive. They sit on the ocean floor waiting for food to drift by, and because of the cold water and currents, the water they sit in is very oxygenated compared to water in warmer, less busy climates. So the oxygen just sorta, diffuses into them and thats it. They're like a living sponge, if sponges wheren't allready an animal.
72dd23
44dd83 Not quiet. Certain species of fish called icefish, sometimes called white-blooded fish, have colorless blood due to the lack of any sort of hemoglobin, hemocyanin, or any of the other oxygen carrying molecules. How do they transport oxygen then?
72dd23 White blood cells?
44dd83 Whats REALLY fascinating is colorless blood. Clear, water like, but still blood non the less. How?
44dd83 Now syl mentioned green and purple blood, and while those are interesting and all, their functions are almost identical to hemoglobin and hemocyanin.
c27fc6 I wigl
44dd83 This super-saturation of oxygen is necessary for animals like crabs and ocotopi, since they live in the ocean deep where oxygen is hard to come by.
44dd83 The thing is, hemocyanin is a much larger molecule compared to hemoglobin, and while hemoglobin can carry only 4 oxygen atoms at once, a hemocyanin molecule can carry 96.
72dd23 Wha-
1530ec [Waluigi] [Tf is a penis worm]
44dd83 smh why you gotta ruin my fun like that, yes its copper. hemocyanine, like hemoglobin, is a molecule found in the blood of some invertebraes that carries oxygen, but unlike hemoglobin, it uses iron. Since copper also rusts, but into a greenish blue color instead.

1530ec [Waluigi] [copper instead of iron]
72dd23 Instead of iron it's copper.
72dd23 Horseshoe crabs have blue blood relatively. There's more such as green and purple. Beside the red and blue ofc-
44dd83 Spiders, crabs, octopi, and other invertebrae have BLUE blood. Can yall guess why?
44dd83 But red isnt the only color of blood.
44dd83 Exactly. Iron is very reactive when exposed to oxygen, which is why it rusts. When hemoglobin bonds with the oxygen in blood, it turns red, just like rust.
1530ec [Waluigi] [cuz iron oxidizes with water and oxygen (real answer) ]
72dd23 Iron attracts oxygen molecules, in which allows the blood to carry out oxygen throughout the body.
44dd83 well yes but why Iron? what property does Iron have that its needed so much in the blood?
72dd23 Iron is needed in making hemoglobin-
44dd83 correct. red blood cells contain molecules of a compound called hemoglobin. But why does our blood have iron in the first place?
5b2f3e but enough about that, I wish to work more on PAMTMS and other passions

72dd23 makes*
72dd23 When our blood is exposed to oxygen the iron in it make it red.
5b2f3e they never tell us that, I theorized that a lot of yo-kai's souls ended up perishing during the shadowside evolution, and the original komasan and komajiro ended up being one of the lost
You can leave feedback about PAM here, but please note that I don't have a lot of time to work on PAM at the moment. There are lots of other tools out there (see here for examples) in case you need a tool with more features. Thank you for your understanding!
